7-chloro-3-hydroxy-5-phenyl-1,3-dihydro-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one
Oxazepam is a benzodiazepine with anxiolytic, sedative, and muscle relaxant effects. It acts by enhancing GABAergic neurotransmission at the GABA-A receptor. Due to its pharmacological profile, it is frequently used for the treatment of anxiety disorders and sleep disturbances. There is a risk of dependence and withdrawal symptoms with prolonged use.
